This post is going to be talking about sniper rifles and the horrible sway they have. Anyways, when you stand even when you have not moved from spawning the sway is all over the place. Like is my char. having a panic attack is that what is causing him to sway everywhere? There should be the ability to hold your breath with sniper's so when your standing the sway is reduced greatly but when you shoot standing up the "recoil" between shots is greater then if you were crouched. When holding your breath your stamina goes down faster then if you were running and if you hold your breath till stamina is depleted it will go to the "normal" sway we have now but after your stamina starts to regenerate it will still sway if your not moving and standing but not as bad as it is now. When holding your breath while standing sway is still there but its way easier to get a shot on someone. If your crouched sway will be reduced when holding your breath but it isn't perfectly still giving players the skill to line a shot up and shoot. This "holding your breath" feature would allow players to snipe over cover easier then having to crouch move out of cover and shoot. Leave me your ideas below or what you think of this, take care everyone (: |

Ever try standing up and shooting a gun with that long of a barrel on it? You aren't going to be able to hold it steady enough to snipe like that. I understand they want to prevent the use of quickscoping but at the least give snipers the ability to unlock a "hold your breath" skill. |

I can't snipe for ****, but other people are able to head shot me out of a moving vehicle. I think it should stay like that. I didn't know there was skills to reduce it but still at the least reduce it some? Like I haven't moved and yet my guy is like everywhere :P thanks for the feedback btw :3 I can't snipe for my life XD it's just something I came across when testing the weapons out. |

Preacher Death 2 wrote:The last thing snipers need are easier kills. Once crouched the scope doesn't move after one second and there is no bullet drop. I would love to see some bullet drop in the future. At least then we could finally get a few rivers coming off the mountains from the blueberry tears. I understand where your coming from, I didn't know that their wasn't any bullet drop so ya my bad. If they added the feature of bullet dropping with all guns and this, it would help with some problems. Like snipers in real life kill pretty quickly but they should add it so either the shields we get help absorb some of that damage or make the snipers a 1 shot kill to the head two-three shots to the body and legs/arms 4-5 :3 |

EDIT: "You" is not OP specifically. lol I am not a sniper so that is funny. I am just saying its really bad sway as it is. I would understand the sway being this bad if I just stopped running and aimed but even when I enter the battlefield and aim without moving a step its like why bother trying to stand and snipe? The use of cover is great in shooters so ya :P |

undeadsoldier90 wrote:Your going to complain about a weapon that has no bullet drop and is basically an insta hit weapon dealing extreme damage..... no. Level it up and enjoy red line sniping with the rest of the blue-berries. As I said before, I don't snipe xD I didn't know there was no bullet drop. Also blue-berries? O.o what? XD if that is an insult I am sorry but that made me laugh xDD |

I specifically said that wasn't referring to you. Hidden Blades wrote: why bother trying to stand and snipe?
There are very few reasons for standing and sniping. It seems to be intentionally discouraged by the game mechanics as a balance for the fact that if you put your targeting reticle on an enemy's face and pull the trigger, they'll instantly die. If my team is getting eaten by snipers, I'll go countersniper, so I do it a lot. If I could stop the sway while standing, I would have a ridiculous advantage. You seem to be working on the assumption that there's a reason why we should be able to stand and fire our rifles but I haven't seen you give one yet, other than crouch-walking out of cover being tricky. It's fairly trivial to stand, move, crouch again and wait a second to line up your shot. If the window of opportunity is too small for that, you have to learn to compensate for standing sway and attempt the shot standing, but it's not supposed to be an easy way to fire. I am just saying the sway is a hell of alot for someone who hasn't moved to act like they just ran a marathon xD Like at the least tone it down some if the player is strafing while sniping they should have difficulty but if your standing still to look over cover your top half isn't in cover so you can still get shot easily but at least I can fire a shot have a easier chance of hitting them then if I have to run away not get out of crouch and run away. Like they don't have to add the hold your breath mechanic but like I said if stand sniping was a little easier I am sure you would have more players who are mobile when sniping. They can cap objectives and be in the battlefield not 5000 meters out picking people off. At the same time this aggressive play style is given. :3 thanks for your feedback man :3 |

Like I haven't moved and yet my guy is like everywhere :P thanks for the feedback btw :3 I can't snipe for my life XD it's just something I came across when testing the weapons out. The Sniper Rifles skill reduces scope sway by 5% per level. Won't remove it entirely, but it can make a difference. The only way to completely eliminate scope sway at the moment is to crouch down and hold still for a second. When you do this, the scope will be perfectly still. If a sniper wants unhindered aim they need to make themselves vulnerable in the process, which seems to be pretty intentional game design I didn't know the stats of the skills so I understand your point. Like I can see someone who is a "noob" with snipers and just picked 1 up wouldn't have a damn clue of what hes doing weapon sway wise so ya :P thanks, but if you picked the class that is meant to be a sniper the weapon sway shouldn't be as bad. Say I am anti armor char alot but then I use a sniper my first time I would understand but if I picked the class that is mean't to be a sniper at the least give the char some knowledge :P thanks for your post :3 |
